If you wish to make payment via credit card there is a 2.7% surcharge, payment via eftpos or bank transfer is preferred
Please choose carefully as we do not provide a refund if you change your mind.

All shipping excludes insurance and is shipped at your own risk. If you would like to purchase additional shipping insurance please let us know. If the items are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide remedy. Thank you.

Terms & Conditions of HIRE

Please ensure that you read the Terms and Conditions of hire. By paying for and hiring from Vitrine Hire (La Brocante Limited), you agree to the Terms and Conditions as outlined below.

All furniture hired remains the property of Vitrine (La Brocante Limited) (hereafter Vitrine).
The hirer is responsible for all furniture during the hire period, including any damage, breakage or loss.
Prices are excluding GST and delivery. GST will be added to the final invoice and delivery quoted if required.

Deposit

A 25% NON–REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO SECURE THE BOOKING. The balance of the hire agreement is to be paid to Vitrine 7 days before the hire period.

Bond

There is a $500 bond to cover damage repairs, but not the loss/left replacement. Note your card will not be charged unless agreed by both parties after discussion of repair costs or in the rare cost of replacement, then other charges may apply.

Cancellation

In the event of a cancellation before 7 days by the hirer to the hire agreement, a loss of the 25% deposit will apply. If cancelled within 7 days of the hire agreement, the hire fee will not be refunded.
Changes are acceptable within reason, however loss of the 25% deposit towards any cancellation of furniture within 60 days of the event.

Hire period

Prices are quoted for a 4 day hire period. Please contact us if you require an extension to the hire period.

If the furniture is not returned within the hire period as agreed between Vitrine and the hirer, a late return penalty charge may apply in order to compensate for any losses incurred by Vitrine.

Condition of furniture for hire

All furniture hired from Vitrine must be returned in the same condition as dispatched by Vitrine Hire. Please ensure that the furniture is wiped clean and any candle wax is removed from the furniture.

The Vintage German Trestle Sets are suitable for outdoor use, therefore can be used under the rain.

To the exclusion of the Vintage German Trestle Sets, please ensure that under no circumstances any furniture hired from Vitrine Hire becomes wet. Any water damage to the furniture incurred during the hire period will be liable to charges and/or replacement costs

If the furniture is not returned by the hirer to Vitrine in the same condition as dispatched and/or there has been damage to and/or on the furniture, repair costs will be deducted from the $500 bond held by Vitrine Hire and charged to the hirer’s credit card as provided below.

Repair costs will reflect the damaged caused, including time spent cleaning the furniture. Any repair costs will be discussed with the hirer before a charge is made to the hirer’s credit card.

If the furniture is not returned due to theft, loss or other causes, the hirer will be liable to pay the full retail price of the furniture less the hire fee. In the case of the furniture not being replaceable, there may be charges of up to $1000 per item to cover the loss of future bookings. Transportation

Transport of the furniture is to be arranged either directly with Vitrine Hire or an external transporter. Please note that our furniture must travel under sufficient cover and must not get wet during transport.

Health and Safety

Vitrine is not liable for the health and safety of the persons using these vintage items during the hire period. All care must be taken to ensure that all guests and users of the furniture are aware of the delicate nature of these vintage items.
